The price meant we didn’t formally complain about the noise.
Beautiful building. Reception staff were warm and welcoming.
Double bed too small for couple. Mistake with our bill in the bar. Bar was soulless. Less tv and someone playing piano would have been lovely. Also smell of smoke wafting in from outside as doors were left open wasn’t pleasant. Crazy noise outside at 8am for an hour prevented sleep.

What was the highlight of Clayton Hotel Ballsbridge
Great hotel, very happy that we chose the Clayton, Ballsbridge.
The building itself is very is quite stunning. Our room was very comfortable and we slept better than at home! The staff are friendly, helpful and professional. The location of the hotel was great, with stops for the Air Coach (direct link to and from airport) and buses every few minutes to the city centre right outside the hotel. Not only that, but a couple of minute’s walk across the road and down the road to your left is the Sandymount Dart station, from where we caught the Dart (train) to visit the little harbours and seaside towns either side of Dublin. Everything within 30 or 40 minute’s travel. Food and drink at the Clayton Ballsbridge was reasonably priced for Dublin, tasted great and was beautifully presented. The breakfasts were great, with plenty of choice and filling too! We will definitely be back next time we are in Dublin.
The only, very minor, criticism is that the background music in the coffee area, and around the restaurant was a little too loud for our liking at times - but that’s probably because we’re an older couple! Mostly it was all good, and we do want to return.
